What Is A Pop Tart Christian?

I read the quote above and immediately thought about pop tarts. Unlike the picture on the left, there was practically nothing inside. ย Very little filling compared to the dough. ย Not unlike a new Christian. ย Or even an โ€œoldโ€ Christian who was satisfied with the initial โ€œcommitting their life to Jesusโ€ โ€“ and then does nothing after that. ย Someone who doesnโ€™t allow the Holy Spirit to fill them and guide their lives.

The Great Commission apparently isnโ€™t so great anymore

The Great Commission apparently isnโ€™t so great anymore. I feel like that must make God cry. And yet, it doesnโ€™t seem to bother many Christians these days. And why should it? Apparently, they donโ€™t even know what it is. And way too many Christians have never even heard of the Great Commission! So sad.

Much too tired

I can't believe it's been three plus months since the last time I wrote anything here. It's not like I haven't done anything. Or don't have anything to write. For those Garth Brooks fans out there, I was just listening to Much too young. That probably describes why there's been nothing here. lately.

If Christians are a new creation, why isnโ€™t everything perfect?

If Christians are a new creation, why isnโ€™t everything perfect? I ask the question because of todayโ€™s Verse of the Day, from YouVersion. It says we are a new creation. The old is gone. The new is here. It sounds so exciting! So how come things arenโ€™t perfect? For that matter, how come little or nothing seems to have changed? Is the verse wrong?
