Bible. Certainly, non-Christians might feel no obligation to obey it. But if we’re Christian, it’s not a suggestion. It’s not just a “nice” thing to think about. It’s a command! And there aren’t any exceptions to go with it.
Why do you stand here looking into the sky? Do something!
Why do you stand here looking into the sky? If you’re a wolf in the snow, you’re looking for clear sky. Or maybe just like to howl at the moon. If you’re a Christian, then this question is for you. Actually, this question was for you. It was asked a couple thousand years ago. And it’s still as valid now as it was then. And the point was/is – do something!
Follow the money – Judas and the thirty pieces of silver
Let’s continue our investigation into the circumstances around Judas’ death. This time, we focus on Judas and the thirty pieces of silver. We’ll follow the money. Who had the silver? Do Christians know who is poor?
The Bible says we should care for the poor. But do Christians know who is poor? I always thought, for the most part, it was pretty obvious who was poor and who was rich. We’ll get to how that happened in a moment. For today though, after going from surveillance to surgery and back to active surveillance, I can’t help but think about the guy in Mark’s Gospel who asked Jesus, “help me overcome my unbelief”.
Is teaching the Bible in public schools a good idea?
Is teaching the Bible in public schools a good idea? Most non-Christians probably answer that question with a great big “No!” But what about Christians? Do Christians think it’s a good idea for public schools to teach the Bible?

The Bible says the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. How is it then that we can be Christian and depressed?
