God really protect us? Will thought to himself. As soon as he silently asked himself the question, he answered it. Of course he does. Then another thought: Does he always protect us in the way we want, when we want it?
Christians – What are you wearing? Your Sunday best?
Christians – What are you wearing? Your Sunday best? Uh Oh. Is this going to be about wearing clothes that are “appropriate” for Christians? Like long dresses for women? Suits and ties for men? If that’s what you’re concerned about, don’t worry. I’m talking about something else entirely. Well, sort of. Something that really matters. Something that makes a difference.
Never again will I destroy all living creatures. Until …
Never again will I destroy all living creatures. That’s what God said. You know, back in Genesis, the first book in the Bible. Of course, that means He did destroy all living creatures once. However, let’s not forget what happens in Revelation, the last book in the Bible. God won’t destroy all living creatures. That... Continue Reading →
Is the earth intelligent, or is this something else?
Exciting stuff. And yet, it does challenge our intelligence, doesn’t it? Sometimes I can’t help but wonder if the goal of some scientists isn’t to essentially prove that we humans are pretty unintelligent.
On this rock Part 2 – Justice and Love to the Ancient Ones
It’s time to look at Justice and Love to the Ancient Ones. Remember, the ancient ones created our species. We had a lot to learn. What does God think of us? Do we care?
What does God think of us? Do we want to know? For that matter, do we care? Like many writers, I use software to evaluate what I write, including the title. According to that software, the title of this one is positive. I can’t help but wonder, how many of us think it’s positive? How many of us, if we had the opportunity, would really want to hear what God thinks of us?
Is Islam right about Christians believing in three gods?
Is Islam right about Christians believing in three gods? I don’t mean what people think their religion teaches. And I’m certainly not talking about what people think, regardless of what their religion teaches. What I’m looking for is this: what do the scriptures of Islam and Christianity actually say?
Doesn’t everyone love their friends?
Doesn’t everyone love their friends? Jesus asked, “Do not even pagans do that?” It was supposed to show that some of the things we Christians do aren’t anything special. That’s what “even pagans do that” was about. But what about the times when pagans do good things that even Christians don’t do? What kind of questions should we be asking ourselves when we’re in that situation?
Which god do you worship and why do you love it/him/her?
Which god do you worship and why do you love it/him/her? There are many gods, and people worship them for various reasons. Ultimately, I believe salvation is at the root of why people worship various gods. However, at the same time, we need to know – salvation from what? Does our god of choice save... Continue Reading →
