2023.01.12 Psalms 010 – Complain about God to God

Complain about God to God? Is that a good thing? How many of us are afraid to complain to God about Himself? Or think that’s a bad thing to do? Maybe even a sin? On the other hand, how many of us are so angry about our issues with God, valid or not, that we don’t hesitate to make a list of our complaints and then “let Him have it”?

Does Christian gossip make you want to avoid church?

Does Christian gossip make you want to avoid church? Do Christians gossip? Yes. Even in church? Yes. We are people, so the answer’s got to be yes. No, we aren’t supposed to. But just stopping at yes we do and no we shouldn’t – well, that’s just not good enough. Let’s face it, Christians who gossip do make people want to avoid church.

Does it help to lift up cancer to Jesus?

What do you do when you have cancer, and it’s Christmas, with all sorts of happy joyful people? But hey, is that really the question? Shouldn’t it really be, what do you do when you have cancer, and the world goes on? Does it really matter whether or not it’s Christmas? The core question remains. Does it help to lift up cancer to Jesus?

Does Jesus want to carry us when times are tough? This question is like those tests where we’re supposed to pick the “best” answer.  And “yes” is not the best answer!  I used to think it was, but I learned that it really isn’t.  There is one answer that’s better – although there are several answers that could start with “no, He wants …”

Do Christian Nationalists know what Jesus taught? They probably do. At least they can probably pull out some words here and there to support their beliefs. Maybe the real question is, do Christian nationalists understand what Jesus taught? In that case, I have to say the answer is a resounding "No!"
